Why not try our new fudge for your Father this coming June 19th ( Father's Day ). It is Strawberry swirl and it is delicious. It is our renowned Vanilla fudge with strawberry chocolate melted into the middle and perched on top as well. Flavours to go with it ? Ginger or chocolate chilli, for the Dad who likes a bit of spice. Chocolate caramel and clotted cream and soft brown sugar fudge for the Dad whose tastes are slightly more mainstream. Whatever you choose he will love a gorgeous box of our freshly made fudge.
Handmade treacle toffee.
January 14th, 2011
We have introduced a new toffee into our range and it is scrumptious. Our chief fudge cook, Gareth has found the simplest recipe: white sugar, butter, glucose syrup, black treacle, water. He has turned it into great slabs of dark brown toffee which we then break up into thick shards and bag up into 100 gram portions which we are selling for
£2.99. It soon turns really chewy in your mouth and it has that great dark sugary taste that toffee lovers know. Give it a try. It will be on the website any day but meanwhile you can always call the shop on 01225 425714 if you want to buy some immediately.

New fudge
July 27th, 2010
We have a new type of fudge to offer you. We have just started making it but, as is sometimes the case, it is one of the old style left over from our San Francisco days. It's name is divinity and it comprises vanilla fudge with white chocolate chips melted in a bead through the middle of it. It is then capped with a snowy white topping of the same chips which slightly melt but then harden up. Our amazing vanilla fudge speaks for itself but the white chocolate chips really are of the most supreme quality and the end result is a - well, divine fudge! Hurry and order some now you will not be disappointed fudge fans wherever you are.

More new fudge

Quick note to tell you about our latest fudge, we put it on sale today in the shop - liquorice fudge ! It tastes great and I have just sold a piece to a liquorice enthusiast, who I must say, was very enthusiastic about it.
Gareth has elected to use soft eating liquorice and it melts really well into the fudge while still maintaining a solid chunk consistency which makes it look fantastic. So it is usual San Francisco Fudge Factory style in that it is our basic fudge mixture, with no artificial flavours or preservatives or colours or anything, with the chunks of liquorice thrown in to make the flavour.
We haven't got it on the website yet but if you cannot wait then order any fudge and put a note in the additional information box that you want it to be liquorice fudge and that will do fine; all our fudge costs the same anyway. Enjoy !

Sorry 'bout that folks !

My last entry got saved by mistake along with hideous typing error, so apologies and here is the continuation......... so the tv will be displaying a film of how we make our products in the shop and hopefully make all visitors think 'Wow, that is amazing , I must buy some ' or something along those lines.
The Mary Howard Fairs that we will be doing are as follows:
Chippenham, Hullavington Airfield on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday the 11th, 12th, 13th, & 14th of November 2008.
York, York Racecourse on Tuesday & Wednesday the 18th & 19th of November 2008.
Sandown Racecourse on Tuesday & Wednesday the 25th & 26th of November 2008.
So it is a packed end of year for us because after Sandown we get straight back and into the Bath Christmas Market which takes place all around our shop. This is also well worth visiting for a great atmosphere and lots of fantastic stalls selling great stuff for Christmas.
My advice is avoid the two Saturdays and come and stay a night and hit the market in the evenig when it is much more relaxed and you can also indulge in a glass of mulled wine or a hot chocolate.

New type of fudge at the San Francisco Fudge Factory
May 26th, 2006
All you fudge lovers may want to try our newest type of fudge which is chocolate chilli fudge. This was made at the insisitence of my chief and well revered fudge cook, Gareth Sayers, who has given us many good years of service at the SFFF. In fact he researched ( went down to buy some chilli ) and experimented ( threw a bit in ) and has come up with a really fine chocolate fudge with a hint of chilli. If you buy it we would really welcome some feedback on what you think, whether you make an entry on the blog or just give us a bell at the SFFF.
Any way happy eating , best wishes Mark and the team.

Strawberries are back !
March 6th, 2006
Great news we have started doing chocolate dipped strawberries at the San Francisco Fudge Factory again ( only at weekends just at the moment) after a break of some years. Of course the bad news is that we don't send these in the post and never have done as they are too delicate by far. So if you want them you have to come in to the shop in person, and that has to be at weekend at the moment. During the summer we will do them every day of the week. If you want them during the week at the moment, you are always welcome to phone up and order them and we will dip them specially for you.
For those of you who do not know when we opened in 1995 we used to do choc dipped strawberries religiously every day and that lasted for years. Then we got a bit sporadic about it and then they just gradually fell off the daily agenda, much to the chagrin of my wife.
But now as the San Francisco Fudge Factory has got well under way in it's second decade it is time to bring them back with a vengeance!
