Cashew Nut Brittle
Cashew nuts encased in mouthwatering brittle toffee. All handmade in store!
To make our cashew brittle, we cook sugar, glucose syrup, butter and sodium bicarbonate to a very high temperature; at the last minute the cashews and a dash of vanilla are thrown in and it is poured on to the buttered and floured marble slab, where it is stretched to thin it out before it hardens into pieces of cashew nut brittle. We then smash it up into shards which are bagged into a cellophane bag and tied with a beautiful ribbon and tag. All made by hand, no additives: what you see is what you get!
